Judith A. (Towse) Minghella, 72, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away after a short illness at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Saturday Morning, February 25. She was the beloved wife of Michael C. Minghella.
Born and raised in Woburn, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth, and the late Mildred (White) Towse. Judy was a graduate of Woburn High School, Class of 1957. Judy loved spending summers with her family at the Sunset Park Campground in Hampstead, New Hampshire. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed knitting and photography and spending time at the beach. Judy was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Judy’s life focused around her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband Michael, Judy is survived by four daughters, Michelle Snider and her husband Jeffrey of Billerica, Jody Mace and her husband Thomas of Tewksbury, Bonnie Lavoie and her husband Richard of Billerica, and LeeAnne Fleming and her husband David of Woburn; and nine grandchildren, Danielle & Shane Snider; Jennifer & Thomas Mace; Kristy, Timothy, Kevin & Michael Lavoie; and Robert Fleming. She is also survived by two sisters, Donna Suitter of Salem, New Hampshire, and Nancy Carter of Ohio; and she was preceded in death by one brother, the late Daniel Towse.
A funeral service will be held at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Road, Woburn on Wednesday, February 29 at 10:00 am. Visiting hours will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 pm.
