North Suburban Y Donates Over 200 Pounds of Food to the Food Pantry

The North Suburban YMCA is pleased to donate 247 pounds of food to the Woburn Council of Social Concern’s Food Pantry.

“This is definitely one of our most successful food drives,” commented North Suburban YMCA Member Services Director Cheryl Sheldon. “We offered our members entry into a raffle for every five non-perishable food items they brought it, and our members really delivered! We called it ‘Get Fit, Give Back’.”

The promotion has now been extended from November 7th-November 11th. New members are invited to bring in five non-perishable food items and have their joining fee waived. “All new members can save $50 (joiner’s fee) if they just bring in food to donate! It’s a great way to give back,” explained Sheldon. Current members are invited to continue to donate and be entered to win raffle prizes including a free TRX Class, 30 minute nutritional consultation, free swim class and more!
