(Boston, MA – February 11, 2013) Project Bread’s Hannah Webb of Woburn and Hannah Breig of Quincy helped prepare healthy meals at the Pine Street Inn, a Boston-based homeless shelter and one of 430 community organizations funded by The Walk for Hunger.“The staff here is fantastic—they are friendly and clearly passionate about their work.” explained Webb, one of the 13 campaign associates who helps organize the community of 40,000 Walkers. “I know that the funds raised at the Walk will be used in the best way possible by organizations like this one.”
“I like working in kitchen settings, being busy, having tasks to do, and being able to see progress as I work,” explained Breig, another campaign associate who helps organize the 45th Walk. “It was rewarding getting to meet and give food to people who need it so much.” Registration is now open for the 45th Walk for Hunger on Sunday, May 5th.
