5T: 5K Run, An Area Blood Drive and After School Karate

Five things to know today.

 

Today is Feb. 5. Here are five things you need to know:

1) Cloudy and cool

Looks like a kind of gray day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect mostly cloudy skies with a high near 28 degrees. A chance of snow showers late tonight with little or no accumulation expected. Overnight low around 20 degrees.

 

2) Public meetings

Woburn City Council is meeting at 7 p.m. in Woburn City Hall, Council Chamber. The Woburn Public Library Board of Trustees is meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the Woburn Public Library Basement Meeting Room.

 

3) Blood drive

The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive from 1:30 to 7 p.m. today at the Burlington American Legion, 162 Winn St. Do your part and donate today and give the gift of life.

 

4) After school karate

Tokyo Joe's Studio of Self-Defense is offering a free trial for young students interested in learning the martial arts. Click here for more information.

 

5) 5k run

The Boston Sports Club is holding its weekly 5K run with registration at 5:30 p.m. and the running starts at 6:30 p.m. The run begins and ends at On the Border. Click here for more information.
