1) Raffle for sports banners
The Hurld Elementary School fifth-graders are holding a raffle until Monday on four sports banners used in the Halloween parade. The banners, one for each of the major sports teams in Boston, were part of the Hurld School's second-place float. All proceeds from the raffle will go to help victims of Hurricane Sandy. 2) Lobster... Yum!
The St. Charles Elementary School is holding its annual lobster luncheon. Lunch is either a lobster roll (or chicken salad, if you prefer), clam chowder, chips, drink and a dessert. All for $15! (Can't stay, don't worry, take-out is also available). For more info, click here.
3) Nice start to the weekend
According to the National Weather Service's specialized forecast just for Woburn, it's going to be a sunny Friday. Temperatures will hover around 50 with a light wind. Expect much of the same on Saturday and Sunday.

Woburn Police arrested an on-duty tow truck operator after he crashed the company truck on Lexington Street and drove away. The driver called his boss and cooperated with police, who arrested the man for operating while under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
