5T: Meeting on How to Help Those In Need, Food Tasting and Beer Pong

Five things to know today.

Today is Wednesday, March 20. Here are five things to know:

1) Sunny

Looks like it will be a much more pleasant day than the slushy one we had yesterday. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies with a high near 41 degrees. It will be windy though with gusts as high as 31 degrees. Partly cloudy tonight with a low around 21 degrees.

2) Public meetings

The Woburn Agricultural Commission is meeting at 6 p.m. at Spence Farm. The Woburn Board of Appeals is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Woburn City Hall, Engineers Conference Room.

3) Helping those in need

The Woburn Senior Center is holding a discussion on "How can I help a friend or family member in crisis?" at 10:30 a.m. this morning. The program is held with the Samaritans, a non-profit group that pairs volunteers with callers who have things in their lives they would like to discuss in a private conversation.

4) What's cooking Wednesday

Whole Foods Markets is holding a "What's Cooking Wednesday" event starting at 5 p.m. today. Cruise the aisles and check out food and cooking demonstrations in each department and taste free samples.

5) Beer Pong

Miss playing this college favorite? Here's your chance to play. Scoreboard Sports Bar & Grill is holding a Beer Pong Tournament tonight. Sign ups starting at 9:00 and the games will begin at 10:00. Cost is $5.
