Five things to know today.
Today is Feb. 12. Here are five things to know:
1) Sunny and mild
Looks like a pretty nice day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 45 degrees. Mostly clear tonight with a low around 26 degrees.
2) Schools open
Woburn Public Schools are opening at the regular time today. Some sidewalks still have snow so be careful when driving as students will be walking and waiting at bus stops.
3) Public meetings
The Woburn Planning Board is meeting at 7 p.m. in Woburn City Hall, Council Chambers. The Woburn Redevelopment Authority is meeting at 5 p.m. in Woburn City Hall, Committee Room. The Woburn School Committee is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Joyce Middle School Conference Room.
4) Spa Re-Opening
Fantastic Sams will be open today. They had to close yesterday because somebody drove into the building.
5) Valentine's Day deal
The Restaurant is offering a Valentine's Day deal, the Sweetheart Dinner Special For two. The special includes a four course meal and two glasses of wine. Click here for more information.

So dangerous for these kids to be walking on these streets!!! why werent they plowed before opening school!!! I saw 3 sets of kids sliding all over the streets trying to get to school this morning. Maybe 1 more day would of done it of no school. Just a worried parent!

I said the same thing to my husband , the roads are a little slick, narrow because of the snow , the main Sidewalks were not Plowed , people walking on the streets it was a little nerve wracking . They should have given it 1 more day for better clean up !

How did it go with the Schools today? I take it that everyone make it OK.How did the buses handle getting down the narrow roads? any updates Patch?
