Five things to know today.

Today is Wednesday, March 6. Here are five things to know:

1) Rain possible

Looks like it will be a gray day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect a slight chance of snow showers before 9 a.m. and then a chance of rain showers. Otherwise cloudy with a high near 42 degrees. Breezy with gusts as high as 36 miles per hour. A chance of rain and snow before 2 a.m. followed by snow. Accumulation of less than half an inch possible. Overnight low around 31 degrees.

2) Senior's issues

The "Senior Issues" Breakfast/Discussion Group is meeting at the Woburn Senior Center at 9:45 a.m. this morning.

3) What's cooking Wednesday

Whole Foods Markets is holding a "What's Cooking Wednesday" event starting at 5 p.m. today. Cruise the aisles and check out food and cooking demonstrations in each department and taste free samples.

4) Parent-teacher conferences

Woburn Memorial High School Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held at the school today from 2 to 4 p.m.

5) In case you missed it

According to a report on the City of Woburn's web site, the annual local census is once again underway. Almost 16,000 forms were mailed to every household in the city. The forms are due back at City Hall within ten days after receipt.
