Five things to know in Woburn today.

 

Today is Jan. 30. Here are five things you need to know:

1) Afternoon showers, warmer

Looks like we will have a gray but warmish day. According to the National Weather Service we can expect cloudy skies through the days and showers after 4 p.m. High temperature near 57 degrees. Showers and a possible thunderstorm tonight with a low around 52.

 

2) Public meetings

The Woburn Historical Commission is meeting at 7 p.m. in Woburn City Hall, Engineers Conference Room. The Woburn School Committee is meeting at 7 p.m. in Joyce Middle School Conference Room.

 

3) February Vacation Club

Boys and Girls Club of Woburn has opened registration for the February Vacation Club for children in grades K-6. Click here for more information.

 

4) What's cooking Wednesday

Whole Foods Markets is holding a "What's Cooking Wednesday" event starting at 5 p.m. today. Cruise the aisles and check out food and cooking demonstrations in each department and taste free samples.

 

5) Elementary School open house and registration

St. Charles Elementary School is having an open house and is accepting student registration from 9 to 11 a.m. today. Click here for more information.
