5T: Who are the Samaritans?

Five things to know in Woburn today.

Today is Feb. 6. Here are five things you need to know:

1) Chance of morning snow

Looks like a gray day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect a chance of snow this morning, mainly before 10 a.m. with less than half an inch of accumulation expected. Otherwise cloudy in the morning and gradually clearing with a high near 39 degrees. Mostly clear tonight and cool with a low around 15.

2) Who are the Samaritans?

The Woburn Senior Center is holding a discussion "Who are the Samaritans?" at 10:30 a.m. this morning. Come learn about the Samaritans, a non-profit group that pairs volunteers with callers who have things in their lives they would like to discuss in a private conversation.

3) What's cooking Wednesday

Whole Foods Markets is holding a "What's Cooking Wednesday" event starting at 5 p.m. today. Cruise the aisles and check out food and cooking demonstrations in each department and taste free samples.

4) February Vacation Club

Boys and Girls Club of Woburn has opened registration for the February Vacation Club for children in grades K-6. Click here for more information.
