5T: Woburn Public Schools Were Closed in '39. Why?

Here are five things you need to know today in Woburn:
1) Half-day for students
The Woburn Public Schools will have a half-day today. Dismissal times are:
- Woburn Memorial High School, 11:30 a.m.
- Joyce & Kennedy middle schools, 12 p.m.
- Elementary schools, 12:30 p.m.
2) Sun & Ski celebration
The new Sun & Ski store on Washington Street will hold a celebratory Family Day tomorrow. The fun starts at 10 a.m. Get ready for a photo booth, hot chocolate and lots of activities. There will also be store discounts and raffles.
3) Some rain
According to the National Weather Service's pinpointed forecast for Woburn, we may need our umbrellas today. Rain is expected after 4 p.m. Temperatures today will be in the 40s with a light wind. We may also see some rain showers over the weekend, but temperatures will rise into the 50s on Sunday.
