Ahhh: Escape With a Therapeutic Massage

A great escape is not more than a few minutes away at Elements on Main Street.

Each week in our Great Escape feature, we tell you about one great idea to give you a much-deserved break and make your life a little easier, maybe a whole lot easier—and at least a little bit more fun.

It’s still cold and blustery outside.

Inside, you may feel achy—either from too much exercise—a.k.a. repeated snow shoveling this winter—or too little.

Or maybe life has you tensed up in knots.

Why not make your muscles happy?

Consider a massage.

Elements at 446 Main St. offers a variety of therapeutic massages:  hot stones, deep tissue, trigger point, Swedish and sports massage.

They’re offering two specials this month:  a 55-minute massage for $49 (instead of $89) and an 80-minute massage for ($65 instead of $115).

Note to dads:  fathers are as apt to go to Elements as mothers, according to owner Tae Kang. (We’ll focus on spas that offer manicures, pedicure and facials another week.)

Kang, who has owned the business for the past 2 1/2 years, plans to increase the number of massage therapists there from the current 13.

A special Elements wellness program offers a free 55-minute massage after you get a 55-minute massage there once a month, every month, for six months, at $59 per visit.

Elements is open seven days a week.

My boyfriend used to go here and loved it. I just want to clarify though that those prices are only for NEW clients and don't apply to gift cards. This made me very sad when I was looking for a birthday present for my boyfriend who is not a new client and I couldn't get him a reasonably priced gift certificate there to present to him.

However! I will say that having a massage place in Woburn Center is a very nice thing indeed. Great way to unwind.

You're right about the prices, Raquelle.
