Emergency Crews Respond to Main Street Fire

The fire has been knocked down but people are advised to avoid the area.

 

Emergency crews responded to a fire at 542 Main Street around 1 p.m. this afternoon, according to scanner reports and Twitter.

The fire has been contained but residents are advised to avoid the area as crews wrap up the scene.

The fire reached a 2nd alarm before firefighters knocked it down. To those outside smoke could be seen from the eaves of the second floor. The building is a two-and-a-half story frame structure.

I hope everyine is safe also. Tragedy never takes a holiday and my heart also goes out to those who were victims of crime as well. Having someone steal from you is just as tragic and life changing.
