Firefighters Battle Blaze at Kraft Foods

Fire at two alarms.

 

 

Woburn Fire is battling at two-alarm blaze at the Kraft Foods plant this afternoon at 2:50 p.m. 

The call came in around 2:45 p.m. Saturday for a fire at the former Atlantic Gelatin facility on Hill Street near the Stoneham line. 

Winchester and Stoneham Fire departments also responded to the scene. A sparks canteen truck also responded to the scene to assist firefighters who are battling the blaze in 89-degree heat.  

Woburn Patch was not allowed on the property due to the heavy smoke conditions. 

According to Woburn Fire, the blaze started in a 20-foot cooling tower and was fully involved.
