Five Things You Need to Know Today, Dec. 5
Find Santa at the Woburn Mall.
Here are five things you need to know today:
1) More clouds: Booo, more clouds? That’s not very nice, National Weather Service. The NWS is forecasting a cloudy Monday, but watch the temperatures soar to almost 60 today.
2) Have you given your feedback?: Only a handful of Patch sites got the new look that we’re enjoying here in Woburn. But we need to know what you guys think so that we can make it an even better experience all around. Click here to comment.
4) In case you missed it: Friday, Dec. 2 was our one-year anniversary of Woburn Patch. We can hardly believe it’s been a year already! Make sure to check out our love letter to our readers here.
5) The Bermuda Triangle: On this day in 1945, Flight 19, a squadron of U.S. Navy torpedo bombers go for a routine flight. And never return. The Naval pilots radioed for help, saying the planes’ compasses had failed and other flight instruments failed. Almost five hours after the flights took off, the Navy lost complete contact with the pilots. The remains of the 27 men and six planes were never found, causing more people to believe in the myth of the Bermuda Triangle, where planes and ships allegedly disappear without a trace. The Bermuda Triangle stretches from the southern U.S. coast to Bermuda and down the Atlantic coast to Cuba and Santo Domingo.
