Here are five things you need to know today:
1) Cool down: We can all breathe a little easier. Temperatures will come down to a more seasonal level today at 80 degrees. Expect partly cloudy skies, says the National Weather Service.
2) Pray the Rosary: All are welcome to join the St. Charles Church Rosary Group. It will meet tonight in the lower church from 6:35 7 p.m.
3) Event Spotlight: Warm up those pipes, karaoke is on again at Scoreboard Sports Bar & Grill, at 15 Middlesex Canal Park. Choose from over 5,000 songs to sing! Go ahead, get your Glee on! The 'show' (hee hee!) starts at 8 p.m.
4) In Case You Missed It: A bottle is to blame for a car accident... And it's not the type of bottle you were thinking! Read Friday's police log here.
5) Wow! A Zeppelin!: On this day in 1900, over Lake Constance in Germany, Count Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin showed off a 420-foot cigar-shaped air ship. The rigid air craft was lifted by hydrogen and powered by a 16-horsepower engine. Zeppelins were used during WWI and carried the hope of easier, affordable air travel. But the most famous Zeppelin—the Hindenburg—crashed in 1937 and was essentially the end of the air craft.
