Monument Being Constructed At Police Station

Work continues on memorial monument at Woburn Police.

A large crane was in front of the Woburn Police station yesterday afternoon. But why?

The Woburn Police Department is expanding it's monument out front to officers who have fallen in the line-of-duty.

Spurred on by the killing of Woburn Police Officer Jack Maguire on Dec. 26, 2010, the department is adding an addition to the memorial already out front.

"We are putting in a memorial to all officers that have died on duty since the inception of the department," said Chief Robert Ferullo.
