New Search for Missing Woburn Girl To Start Saturday

Melanie Melanson went missing from Woburn in 1989.

Authorities plan to start a new search for long-missing Woburn teenager Melanie Melanson on Saturday, July 28, at the Middlesex Falls Reservation in Stoneham, according to WBZ-TV.

Melanson, a 14-year-old Woburn High School student, went missing from a party in the woods on the Woburn-Stoneham line in 1989, according to WBZ-TV.

Ten search dog teams plans to scour the reservation on July 28, according to WBZ-TV. An anonymous phone tip to a private investigator working the case indicated Melanson's body could be in the reservation.

A previous cadaver dog search of several wooded areas in Woburn indicated human decomposition in that area, according to WBZ-TV.
