Shayne Conway, a member of the Woburn Memorial High School Class of 2011, passed away Feb. 3, 2012.
A candlelight vigil was held in Shayne's honor over the weekend at Horn Pond.
According to Shayne's mother, the 19-year-old's heart, left kidney and right kidney were successfully transplanted into needing patients after his death.
On Shayne's Facebook page, Mrs. Conway wrote: "It's heartwarming to know he touched so many of you with his big heart, contagious laugh and smile, and oh, that personality of his."
"Shayne always wanted to give of himself—helping out others is what made him happy," she continued. "He brought so many of us so much happiness... Because of Shayne, three people have been given life. I thought I could never be prouder of him and then this miracle happens."
Shayne Conway died Feb. 3, 2012 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton, MA.
He was born on October 13, 1992, the son of Daniel and Doreen (Hanlon) Conway. He enjoyed listening to music, going to concerts and taking long walks.
Family members include his parents of Woburn, MA; his maternal grandmother, Jean (Young) Hanlon of Peabody, MA; his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth (Tracy) Conway of Watertown, MA and uncles, aunts and cousins.

Shayne was my godson, he continues to be part of my heart as my own four children, I was most fortunate in spending lots of time with him when he was very young, my children and I loved him dearly. Forever in our hearts. AJ

Shayne could not have asked for a more wonderful Aunt; he loved her so very much!
They shared a unique, everlasting connection throughout the years. His cousins he so adored and shared so many happy memories. Thank you all for loving him so.

My heart goes out to you. Shayne was a great friend to my youngest daughter, Courtney Boston. He was always there for her w/ his great smile and big heart. I appreciate him for being there for her; a great friend. May you stay strong through this most incredibly difficult time.
