Today is Thursday, April 18. Here are five things to know:

1) Mostly sunny

Looks like a nice day if not quite as warm as yesterday. According to the National Weather Service we can expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 60 degrees. Chance of showers after 3 a.m. tonight. Otherwise mostly cloudy with a low around 50 degrees.

2) Public meetings

The Woburn Conservation Commission is meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Woburn City Hall, Committee Room. The Woburn Handicapped and Disabled Citizens Commission is meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Woburn City Hall, Engineering Conference Room. The Woburn Housing Authority is meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Housing Authority Nichols Street Community Room. The Woburn Traffic Commission is meeting at 4 p.m. in the Woburn City Hall, Council Chamber.

 

3) Paint the Town Purple

Woburn Relay for Life is holding an event at City Hall at 7:45 p.m. tonight. Today is exactly one month before the Woburn Relay for Life. The event will be a lighting ceremony of purple lights in front of City Hall. There will be goodie bags, a brief announcement and a proclamation by Mayor Scott Galvin.

4) Thinking Cap? Check!

 Tanner Tavern's Thursday Night Trivia will start at 8 p.m. tonight. Head over to Main Street for Stump Trivia and you and your team (or just you!) can compete for prizes.

 

5) Ladies Night Out

Scoreboard Sports Bar & Grill is holding a Ladies Night Out from 7 p.m. to midnight tonight. Buy one entree get the second free for all ladies.  Free chocolate covered strawberries and free chair messages by Elements.  Live bands, door prizes and much more.
