A 40-year-old Salem Street man remains at Lahey Clinic this morning after being struck by a car August 26.

The man has been upgraded to "fair" condition, according to a Lahey Clinic spokesperson.

A 25-year-old Woburn woman told police she was driving on Salem Street toward Beach when she struck the pedestrian in the crosswalk. Police said the woman told officers “she did not see him crossing the street at any time.”

According to police, the woman was not driving while impaired.
