POLICE LOG: Apartment Burglary Reported with Nearly $4K in Items Stolen

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. 

Featured Call of the Day

Feb. 17-

At 3:04 p.m. a Westgate Drive caller reported a past burglary. Caller reported someone entered his apartment while he was away for the night. Police found pry marks on a sliding glass door which appeared to be how the buglar entered the apartment.

Items stolen included a laptop, flat screen television, Blue Ray player, an Xbox 360 and a Wii. Total amount stolen was worth $3,950.

 

Other Incidents-

Feb. 14-

At 12:13 p.m., police responded to Winchester Hospital Breast Care Center on a report of a larceny. Female employee said she left her purse with content under her desk on Feb. 7. and between 1:50 and 3:40 p.m. the purse was stolen.

Caller stated the public does not normal enter the office though delivery people do. Stolen items including headphones worth $200, a wallet worth $250 and Gift Cards and personal items valued at $200.

 

At 2:0 p.m. police responded to a call from Walgreens on a report of a person passing counterfeit $20 bills. Store said a heavy white male with a white T-Shirt a and black baseball hat used $120 worth of counterfeit $20 bills to buy gift cards, snacks and received change.

Feb. 15-

At 10:35 p.m. two females came to the station to report an assault and battery. The women stated they were at a male friend’s place and he took one of their phones and started to go through it. When she asked for it back he pushed her and when she tried to fight back he pushed her into a snow bank and threatened to hit her in the face. When the women attempted to leave the male threw a wooden pallet on the hood of the car, causing scratches, the two women said.
