POLICE LOG: Car Loses Control on School Street

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

 

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Nov. 13 – At 9:13 a.m., police responded to School Street for a report of an accident. According to police, a Billerica woman had turned onto School Street from Main when her car’s steering malfunctioned causing the car to cross onto the westbound lane, hit a car, jump the curb and enter a yard. The car damaged bushes, the lawn, a utility pole, a parked car and a School Street home. The driver suffered a minor injury, said police. Two cars were towed from the scene.

Nov. 12 –

At 11:17 a.m., police were called to Spring Court Extension for a report of an ongoing issue between neighbors. According to police, the Woburn Housing Authority was notified of the problems.

At 6:21 p.m., police responded to a counseling center for a report of an argument between family members. According to police, during a counseling session, a 30-year-old man argued with his sister and her children. The man told police he did argue with the family, but removed himself from the session.

At 8:20 p.m., Woburn Police received four firearms and a resident’s gun license for safekeeping.

Nov. 13 –

At 7:10 a.m., police were called to a two-car accident at Montvale Avenue and Central Street. According to police, the cars collided while one was attempting a left turn onto Central Street.

At 3:45 p.m., police were dispatched to an unarmed robbery at Lowe’s. For complete story, click here.

At 4:53 p.m., police responded to a three-car accident on Washington Street near Olympia Avenue. According to police, one car rear-ended a car stopped at a red light causing a chain reaction. There were no reporting injuries. Weather and driver inattention were factors, said police. One driver was cited for failure to use care and caution when stopping.

At 5:31 p.m., police were called to a two-car accident on Washington Street at West Cummings Park. There were no reported injuries.
