The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Incidents:

Dec. 24 –

At 8:05 a.m., a Cambridge Road woman reported her car broken into overnight. According to police, the suspect smashed the car window and removed the rearview mirror. Nothing else was taken and no other cars, including a vehicle with packages in plain view, were damaged, said police.

At 8:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a possible theft on the Nichols Street Extension. According to police, a woman who was visiting a home on the extension believed that items from her purse were stolen, including cash, a prescription pill bottle, two credit cards, and a cell phone. Police spoke to the residents who denied involvement.

At 11:37 a.m., a Northborough man reported his car struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked on Church Avenue.

At 11:38 a.m., police received a report of a $300 gift card stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the Horn Pond Plaza parking lot. According to police, the victim said he may have left his car door unlocked.

At 12:26 p.m., a New Jersey man reported his car damaged on Nov. 22 while it was parked in the Tudor Glen apartment complex lot on Locust Street.

At 2:45 p.m., a Westford woman reported her car damaged while it was parked in the Target parking lot.

At 7:19 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Mishawum Road. According to police, one car crossed the double-yellow line and struck another car head-on. Although the other driver was able to stop before the collision, he was unable to avoid the other vehicle. Both cars were damaged but driveable, said police. There were no reported injuries. A North Tewksbury woman was cited for a marked lanes violation, said police.
