POLICE LOG: Coffee Spill Causes Car Crash

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

June 21 – At 3:16 p.m., an officer responded to a one-car accident on Olympia Avenue. According to police, the driver lost control of the vehicle when her passenger dropped a full tray of coffee onto her lap. The car struck a pole, but there were no reported injuries.

At 3:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a two-car accident on Washington Street near Dewey Avenue. According to police, one car struck another while turning into Cummings Park. There were no reported injuries.
At 5:57 p.m., police responded to a report of a hit-and-run accident in a Salem Street parking lot. According to police, there were no witnesses to the accident. The car suffered rear bumper damage and minor front-end damage.
At 6:31 p.m., police conducted a well-being check. One woman was taken to the hospital.
