The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Sept. 12 – At 6:29 p.m., a Woburn woman reported her son’s father was calling the teen and “giving him a hard time about quitting football.” The woman told police a court order was in place that the man could not have contact with his son for the time being. Police advised the woman on how to get a harassment protection order from the court.

At 2:57 p.m., police were called to Lawless Chrysler Jeep on Lexington Street for a report of a larceny. According to police, four tires were removed from a 2012 Jeep Liberty. Police reported the four tires, 20 lug nuts, four tire sensors and four wheels with center caps were removed from the vehicle. The car was left on a jack, after the theft, said police.

At 4:16 p.m., police on routine patrol observed a car parked awkwardly on Hinston Road. According to police, the driver said he was waiting for a friend, but the friend did not want him to park in the driveway. Police advised the man to park in a safer place. While waiting for his friend, the man asked the police officer how long he was going to stay in the area because his friend was “too nervous” to leave with the police there. The man then left the area. Police tried to speak to the friend at his residence, but there was no answer at the door.

At 6:31 p.m., a Pearl Street resident reported his daughter’s pink Barbie bike stolen overnight. The bike is valued at approximately $130, said police.

At 8:20 p.m., police responded to a medical aid on Washington Street. One person was taken to Winchester Hospital.
