The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Featured Call of the Day:

Jan. 8 – At 9:51 a.m., police were called to the Patriot Bank on Lexington Street. According to police, a 77-year-old woman told the officer she thought she had put her car in park, but did not, causing the car to surge forward. The woman’s car struck the bank building, causing some damage to the exterior wall. The vehicle was towed from the scene, but there were no reported injuries. The city determined there was no structural safety issues at the building.

Jan. 8 –

At 8:03 a.m., police responded to a three-car accident at Fowle Street and Garfield Avenue. According to police, two cars collided with each other, causing one car to continue on and strike a third, parked car. One driver was cited for failure to grant the right of way at an intersection.

At 9:27 a.m., police responded to a reported robbery at Walgreens on Main Street. According to police, when officers arrived, they learned that a woman reportedly fled the store after not paying for two bottles of shampoo. Police spoke to an employee who reported seeing the woman holding two bottles of John Frieda Serum valued at $10 each. When the employee saw the woman again, the bottles were not visible. Using video surveillance, police were able to track down the woman, who told police she had been looking at the shampoo but had left it in the store and did not take it. Police advised the store to obtain a no-trespass order if they chose.

At 11:03 a.m., police responded to School Street for a report of a neighbor problem. According to police, the caller reported a man yells profanities at her from a window while she is outside. When police attempted to speak to the man, he told the officer to “get the [expletive] off my property.” Police advised the woman of her right to seek a harassment protection order against the neighbor.

At 11:05 a.m., a Woburn Mall employee reported finding a car with a broken window in the parking lot. According to police, the officer as able to find the owner of the car in Panera. The man told police a computer and bag, along with contents including cell phone and computer chargers, were taken. Police are reviewing video surveillance footage.

At 4:15 p.m., police returned to School Street for the neighbor problem. According to police, an officer spoke to both parties about the neighbor yelling obscenities out the window. The neighbor agreed to stop yelling at the people next door, said police.

At 8:27 p.m., police responded to a report of a family argument. According to police, a 46-year-old man was arguing with his 16-year-old daughter when he passed out. The man was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
