POLICE LOG: Eatery Broken Into Overnight

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.
Feb. 21 –
At 8 a.m., police responded to a report of an overnight break-in at Olympia Roast Beef. According to police, a rear door had been pried open, as well as an office door. Approximately $1,000 was stolen, said police.
At 10:19 a.m., a Woburn woman reported someone filed a fraudulent tax return using her social security number.
At 8:40 p.m., a Kimball Court resident flagged down an officer in the Kimball Court parking lot to report her car was broken into. According to police, a laptop and tablet were taken from the vehicle.
At 9:06 p.m., a 40-year-old Woburn man was placed in protective custody after police responded to a report of an intoxicated man on Main Street. According to police, the man was yelling that he “wasn’t going.” Police placed the man in protective custody for the evening.
