POLICE LOG: Fired Employee Reportedly Stole Donation Jar

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

 

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Featured Call of the Day:

Jan. 14 – At 10:29 p.m., a Woburn business reported a problem with a former employee. According to police, a Stoneham man was terminated from his job at the Sea Dog Brew Pub. Prior to leaving the property, employees believe the man took money from a donation jar at the restaurant. Police advised employees to call police if the man returns.

 

Other Incidents:

Jan. 13 –

At 9:53 p.m., an Everett driver reported being sideswiped on Montvale Avenue. According to police, there was heavy damage to the front and passenger side of the first vehicle. The second vehicle had damage to the driver’s side and rear. There were no reported injuries, said police.  

Jan. 14 –

At 6:11 a.m., a Holton Street woman reported damage to her home. According to police, there were three holes in the door and window that were likely caused by a BB gun.

At 7:49 a.m., a Main Street business reported a stolen snow plow. According to police, the plow was in a fenced-in portion of the property and someone had cut the padlock in order to steal the plow.

At 8:41 a.m., police were called to Moreno Drive for a report of stolen wiring. According to police, a suspect removed about 20-feet of amp wiring and attempted to steal copper from the home.

At 2:47 p.m., police responded to Bow Street for a reported house-break. According to police, a door was kicked or forced open by a suspect, who then grabbed a hockey equipment bag and began putting items in it. Several pieces of jewelry and xbox games were stolen from the home, said police.

At 3:23 p.m., police were dispatched to a three-car accident on Washington Street. According to police, two cars were slowing for traffic when a third rear-ended the cars, causing a chain reaction accident. The driver was cited by police for impeded operation. There were no reported injuries.
