POLICE LOG: Library Employee Has Newspaper Knocked From Hands, Hit by Backpack

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. 

Featured Call of the Day

Feb. 12-

At 4:50 p.m. police responded to the Woburn Public Library on a call of a disturbance. Police spoke to the caller, a library employee, who said another man knocked a newspaper out of his hand and hit him with a backpack.

Police spoke to the suspect who admitted knocking the newspaper out of the other caller’s hand and said he did so because the caller sat next to him after he asked him not to.  Police proved the caller and the library with the information on how to take out a No Trespass Order.

 

Other Incidents

Feb. 12-

At 2 p.m. a caller in a lot on Unicorn Park Drive reported her vehicle was struck while parked and it suffered damage to the left rear fender and bumper. No contact information left behind.

 

At 8:19 p.m. a caller on Warren Avenue reported his vehicle was stuck while parked.  No contact information left behind.

 

At 9:35 p.m. a Hart Pl. caller reported a stolen iPhone. Caller said her son had the phone while at Wachusett Mountain in Princeton and he believes it was stolen out of his father’s truck. Phone was tracked to a Milton address and the police there will follow up.

 

Feb. 13-

At 6:51 p.m. a caller reported his vehicle was damaged in a hit and run accident while parked at the Marriott Courtyard sometime overnight. Caller reported damage to front right fender, hood, light and possibly the wheel. No contact information left behind.
