POLICE LOG: Tuna Dumped on Car
An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.
The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

Jan. 15 – At 8:36 p.m., a woman reported someone dumped a can of tuna fish on her car while it was parked in the Bertucci’s parking lot.

Jan. 13 –
At 9:46 a.m., police responded to a two-car accident involving an ambulance on Mishawum Road. According to police, the ambulance was exiting the Woburn Mall parking lot when a car traveling on Mishawum tried to stop to allow room for the emergency vehicle. The car’s brakes locked, said police, and skidded, crashing into the ambulance. There were no reported injuries.
At 10:46 a.m., a pedestrian reported being struck by a car on Main Street. According to police, the pedestrian and driver spoke briefly and the man said he was not injured. About 10 minutes later, the man said he began to experience some pain from the accident, said police. He was transported to Winchester Hospital via ambulance.
At 11:41 a.m., a witness reported a tractor-trailer truck knocked down a traffic signal at Main and Clinton streets.
At 4:22 p.m., a Woburn woman reported receiving several harassing phone calls and text messages.
At 5:30 p.m., police responded to an accident involving an MBTA bus on Main Street. According to police, there were no injuries.
At 6:35 p.m., a Weston woman told police that several documents involving a civil case are missing at Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn.
At 7:26 p.m., an officer on routine patrol reported a man sitting in his car in the Red Roof Inn parking lot. The officer spoke to the man, who admitted he was meeting a prostitute he encountered on a website. Police advised the man to leave the area.
At 9:36 p.m., police received a report of a man attempting to enter the locker room at the O’Brien Ice Rink on Locust Street.
Jan. 14 –
At 12:14 a.m., police responded to the Red Roof Inn to investigate a report of two underage parties being held in separate rooms. Police stopped the party on the fourth floor, advising the youths to leave the hotel. The teens at the other party on the second floor appeared to have fled through an open window, said police. Officers asked the hotel management to change the access code on both rooms.
At 4:18 p.m., a man reported the theft of a Caterpillar “Bobcat” machine from a High Street driveway.
At 4:56 p.m., officers were dispatched to Kohl’s for a report of a shoplifter who fled the store prior to police arrival. The man left the store without paying for two bottles of perfume, said police.
At 5:15 p.m., a Lexington woman reported her car broken into and several pieces of ping pong equipment taken while the car was parked at Sichuan Garden.
At 11:30 p.m., an Inwood Drive resident reported leaving her purse in the backseat of a cab after dinner in Boston.
Jan. 15 –
At 10:40 a.m., a Burlington man reported his wallet was stolen from a locker at the Boston Sports Club. According to police, the man said his credit card was used at Target to purchase two iPads. Police are investigating.
At 7:39 p.m., police responded to a Highland Street apartment for a report of an attempted assault. According to police, the victim asked the residents to quiet down and an argument ensued. One person, who the victim did not know, attempted to assault the victim with a knife, said police.
Jan. 16 –
At 8:11 a.m., an Avis Rental Car employee reported someone attempted to break into the key drop-off lock box over the weekend. There were no keys in the box during the break, said police.
At 12:52 p.m., a Wakefield man reported receiving harassing text messages from a Woburn resident.
At 3:51 p.m., police received a report of a counterfeit bill passed at the Showcase Cinemas on Sunday.
At 3:55 p.m., a Wakefield woman reported someone stole her iPhone out of her jacket pocket while she shopped at the Woburn Mall. According to police, the woman said she did not feel anyone reach into her pocket and take the phone, but that the iPhone was definitely stolen and not lost or misplaced.
At 4:06 p.m., a 22-year-old Woburn man was cited for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, not having a license in his possession and speeding after he was stopped during routine traffic patrol on Samoset Road.
At 5:12 p.m., an elderly Winchester woman called police after a King Petroleum employee told her that it was difficult to pump $10 worth of fuel and she should buy $20. Police will speak to the owner of the gas station.
At 8:14 p.m., a Beverly man reported his car broken into and two bags stolen while it was parked at Joe’s American Bar & Grill.
At 8:34 p.m., a Woburn man reported his digital camera was stolen approximately two months ago. The man told police he heard that someone stole the camera and pawned it in Lowell.
At 8:43 p.m., a New Hampshire man reported his car broken into and his laptop stolen while it was parked at Joe’s American Bar & Grill.
At 11:36 p.m., police responded to a one-car accident on Montvale Avenue. According to police, one car skidded off the road and into a traffic signal at Montvale and Washington Street. There were no reported injuries.
Jan. 17 –
At 5:19 a.m., police responded to a one-car accident on Arlington Road. According to police, the driver lost control of his car due to snow on the road. There were no reported injuries.
