POLICE LOG: Witness Reports Man Fondling Self
An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.
The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

June 19 – At 4:47 p.m., a caller reported seeing a man at Weafer Park fondling himself. According to police, the caller said that a large man, possibly 6-feet, 1-inch, with a shaved head and wearing a red shirt, was standing on top of a rock looking into the playground area. The witness told police that the man had a camera phone out and appeared to have his other hand in the front area of his pants. Police were unable to find the man, but have notified all officers to monitor the area.
June 19 –
At 6:49 a.m., police responded to Cambridge Road for a report of a road rage incident. According to police, one man said that another cut him off in traffic and the two exchanged obscenities and hand gestures. At a traffic light, the man said that the other got out of his car and yelled at him. Police spoke to the other man, who admitted to getting out of the car and yelling at the other driver.
At 3:11 p.m., a Woburn woman reported hitting a light pole in the Lannan Chevrolet parking lot.
At 3:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the Spring Court Extension for a report of suspicious activity. A caller reported a man sitting in the playground area while waiting for FedEx. Police spoke to the man.
At 5:06 p.m., a 79-year-old man was attempting to back-up his vehicle in his driveway, when the car moved forward and struck a parked car, reported police.
At 6:30 p.m., a Woburn woman reported three packages stolen from the common area of an apartment building. The woman told police that the three companies reported they did deliver the packages, but she did not receive them. Police advised the woman to contact her credit card company to attempt to recover the lost expenses.
At 8:32 p.m., police responded to a Surrey Road residence for a report of an unwanted party. According to police, a former resident was picking up paperwork when a fight occurred. Police assisted the man in retrieving his paperwork and he left the area.
At 9:50 p.m., Xavier Omar Cruz, 21, of 27 Ware St. Apt. #27 in Lowell, was arrested and charged with failure to stop or yield, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and an outstanding warrant. Cruz was also cited for a red light violation, said police. Cruz was taken into custody when an officer observed him go through a red light on Montvale Avenue.
At 11:23 p.m., police and fire were dispatched to High Street for a 911 call with voices yelling on the line. Police arrived and spoke to a 15-year-old who stated that he was arguing with his mother over cable television. The teen told police he would not argue with his mother.
June 20 –
At 6:56 a.m., a bicyclist was struck by a car on Presidential Way. According to police, both the driver and the cyclist did not see the other coming. The cyclist was transported to Lahey Clinic. Police issued a failure to use care and caution citation warning to the driver.
At 8:18 a.m., a Wheeling Avenue business reported someone attempted to steal solar panels. According to police, the wiring harness was cut at both ends. Police believe the suspect may have been interrupted during the attempted theft.
