POLICE LOG: Woman Arrested for Shoplifting at TJ Maxx

Jan. 31-

At 4:56 p.m. police responded to TJ Maxx for a shoplifter in custody by loss prevention. The suspected shoplifter allegedly folded clothes to make them small, hid them in her handbag and tried to leave the store but was stopped by loss prevention.

Police arrested Brooke Ashley Delaney, 29, of 3 Appleton St. Apartment 503, Boston on a charge of shoplifting by concealing merchandise.

 

Other Incidents

Jan. 30-

At 2:14 p.m. police responded to Lifeline Ambulance, 11 State St., for a report of stolen scrap metal. The caller stated the scrap metal was in a pile behind the building and has been getting stolen since Jan. 26.

Video shows and operator of Jeep Liberty stopping at the pile and a party getting out to take scrap metal and tires. Each time it appears there were two people in the vehicle, a white male and white female, and both were seen taking scrap. Caller believes scrap metal taken was valued at $1,000 and was mostly rotors and vehicle parts.

Jan. 31-

At 6:45 p.m.  police responded to a call of an unwanted person on Prospect Street. When police arrived the caller informed police she had had an argument with her boyfriend and he was refusing to leave. Police spoke with the male who gathered his things and left on foot.
