UPDATED: Police Officer Shot in Armed Robbery Incident
Suspect also shot; incident reportedly began after an attempted robbery at Kohl's jewelry counter.
A Woburn Police officer has reportedly been shot after an incident at the Kohl's Department Store jewelry counter around 8:45 p.m. Sunday.
According to scanner reports, a suspect was taken into custody after a foot chase that ended near the U.S. Post Office around 8:56 p.m. Woburn Fire was called to the scene for both the suspect and police officer, who were both reportedly shot.
Police are searching for a second suspect, who is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, who was wearing a long-sleeved black shirt. He was last seen in Richard Circle area.

Woburn Police reports the medical examiner has arrived on scene to pick-up the remains of the armed robbery suspect who was shot and killed Sunday night.
UPDATE, Monday, 12:43 a.m.
Reading Police Sgt. John McKenna confirms that a SWAT team was dispatched in Woburn Sunday night to assist in the search for additional suspects in the police shooting.
According to McKenna, two suspects are in custody and the department is unsure whether or not there is a third suspect at large.

Jessica Pastore of the Middlesex District Attorney's office confirms that both a Woburn Police officer and a suspect were fatally shot after the armed robbery attempt at Kohl's Sunday night.
The identities of both men have not been released.
Woburn Police, in conjunction with the DA's office, is still investigating.

Lahey Clinic Media Relations Director Steve Danehy said the officer was taken to Lahey Clinic but declined comment, saying that the Woburn Police Department has asked that no condition be released. An announcement will be made shortly.

Reports from the scene say the suspect is dead.

Woburn Police is reporting over the scanner that the suspect allegedly held a gun to two female Kohl's employees and demanded that they open the safe.

According to scanner reports on the Woburn Police frequency, an officer was transported to Winchester Hospital for precautionary reasons. Another officer was taken to another area hospital that was not named over the radio.

Woburn Police and Mass State Police are responding to Lowe's for a possible suspect. Other community's officers have responded to the scene to assist in the search.
According to scanner reports, a suspect allegedly used a phone at a Garden Terrace residence and "asked for a ride." Police are investigating the report.

what is the estimated age of the suspects they are looking for? Makes a big difference if they look like they are 40 or 18

We have not heard the estimated age, or whether the search is still ongoing for the additional suspects. We will update as soon as we know anything more.
