POLL: Worst Speeding Spots in Woburn?

Vote for the most dangerous street in the city.

Last week, we asked you to tell us the streets in Woburn where drivers speed most. Several people named names, and it was clear that there are many streets in the city where pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers worry about being hit by a car.

This week, we're asking you to vote for the street in the city that you think is the most dangerous out the ones suggested by fellow readers.

Look for the results of the poll next Tuesday.

Seriously... my street of Wood Street is the worse. Consider some of the major accidents. Just fifteen minutes ago a biker had to go over 100 mph! My street is a highway!!!!

There are alot of speeders on Pearl st. sometimes coming out of Kimball Court you have to gun it to avoid getting hit . A matter of fact inside Kimball court RESIDENTS coming from THE TOWERS IS HORRIFING !! now they speed like their on a Highway ! .

Not saying that any of these spots aren't bad but I can't believe that Green St didn't make the list. The bottom (Montvale Ave end) has constant accidents and people go 50-80 regularly.

I am also shocked Green St. isn't on the list, wish I had seen this sooner. Green street has also had many horrifying accidents, and the many, many bikers who speed at 80-90 miles an hour. Although it didn't make the list, I vote Green St.

I have to admit, when it comes to speeding, that Cambridge Road didn't make the cut. It is 35 mph from Horn Pond Plaza all the way to the Burlington line, but people drive 50 to 55 on it, especially in off peak times. I live there and it is worth your life to get out of my driveway some days. Sure, at peak times things slow down a bit, but otherwise things can be a bit crazy. The only real advantage we have is fewer pedestrians.

Wow! Thank you all so much for chiming in this week, but I have to ask - where were you all last week?! :) As stated in the story, we asked readers last week to tell us where the worst speeding spots where and then we would compile that list and ask readers to pick the worst overall. So, if your street isn't on the list, it's because no one "nominated" it last week. But we'll definitely take these streets into consideration when we look at the poll results!!

The police must have been following this poll as there is currently a speed trap on Lowell St. right now! NICE!

Drag racing high school drivers find Montvale ave near the Greek church to the center an easy speedway; must be in a hurry to get home to do homework...
