The following text was provided by Woburn Pop Warner Football:

Woburn   E1  football  sponsored by the Woburn Loyal Order of Moose and E1 cheering sponsored by Roche Bros lost to Waltham 19-0. 

The  game did not start well for us, we kicked off and Waltham ran it into the end zone for their first touchdown.  On our first offensive play we ran right and were stopped for a loss.  Our second play we fumbled and Waltham recovered.

Woburn's  first defensive was good forcing Waltham to turn the ball over on downs in four plays. With good penetration, and tackling made by #55 Tyler Farren,#48 Thyago Eller, and#7 Alex Fishlin.  

Our next offensive set was good with a couple of first downs made by some long runs by Thyago Eller, a 48 yard gain ,and by Alex Fishlin for an 11 yarder. We did end up turning the ball over on downs though.

Our defense played good with some good stops and great tackling, but Waltham’s  offense played just a little bit better. They ended up scoring two more times; one on a pass play, and one on a running play.

On a positive note we did stop their extra point attempts. Our offense just could not seem to get going in the right direction, even with the cheer squads "V.I.C.T.O.R.Y" and "We Want a Touchdown" cheers echoing  throughout  the area. The girls on the cheer squad did a wonderful job.

Tough game today boys, it was a good effort though.
