Reports: Pedestrian Struck at Leland Park

Twitter reports indicate a male was struck by a vehicle and has suffered a leg injury.

 

Emergency personnel are responding to a call of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle at Leland Park.

According to Mass Incident Paging on Twitter, a 34-year-old male was struck a little after 8 p.m. this evening. According to the posts the male was struck on Washington Street in front of the park. He has suffered a leg fracture and is being transported to Mass General Hospital.

Why take him all the way to MG when you can almost hit Winchester Hosp with a rock from there?

Jay, Winchester is not a trauma center and will not accept patient's with serious, traumatic injuries; they divert them to either Lahey or Mass. General. The injuries must have been severe to go to Mass. General, though.

His injuries were a lot more serious than just a fractured leg that is just the being he is in mass general with life threating injurious
