School Committee Elects New Chairman

New chair will replace Michael Mulrenan for 2013 term.

 

 

The Woburn School Committee elected a new chairman at its Monday organizational meeting.

Denis Russell will serve as the 2013 School Committee chair.

According to a brief statement on Twitter, school officials noted that the election was unanimous.

Russell will take over the reins from School Committee member Michael Mulrenan, who served as the last chairman.

we need fresh blood on this school committee there is only one member with children in the schools The rest all have family member working for the school department. get elected and your family can work for the schools

There are actually three members with children presently attending Woburn Public Schools.

Instead of complaining on Patch, why not run for one of these positions? It is easy to sit behind a computer screen and complain about every move some of these city officials make.
