Shamrock Fifth-Graders Tops in State

Team of students place first in online math competition.

A group of Shamrock Elementary School fifth-graders recently placed first in a statewide online math competition.

The students participated in the statewide Sumdog competition for 10 days in December, answering questions online. In order to place, teams needed more than 15 players.

The Shamrock students came in first with a total of 4,931 correct answers—more than twice the amount of correct answers by the second place team (Blueberry Hill School).
