The Horn Pond Summer Concert Series will continue this Friday, August 10, with Pan Loco Steel Drum Band. The concert is from 6 to 8 p.m. (new time & weather permitting) at Horn Pond, along the flat grassy area of Sturgis Street, known as Ice House Park. This concert is sponsored by Reading Cooperative Bank.
Pan Loco Steel Band has been bringing the sweet sounds of the Caribbean to New England since 1991. Theses talented musicians are from Berklee College and the University of New Hampshire, and have been performing all types of music in the New England area for many years. The repertoire is authentic and appropriate for all ages. Pan Loco will bring calypso, reggae and island music from the Caribbean direct to your doorstep. When you hear this music, you’ll feel like you’re on a slow boat to Saint Thomas!
This is the tenth year that the Horn Pond Summer Concert Series will entertain Woburn residents. The concerts are a perfect way to spend summer nights with your fellow community members and enjoy the beautiful Horn Pond area.
Bring your family, friends, and lawn chairs to Ice House Park to enjoy free concerts on select Fridays throughout the summer. With generous support from local businesses, the Concert Series is free to the public.
