The second season of the Spence Farm Farmers' Market begins this weekend.
The second full season of the Spence Farm Farmers' Market opens to the public this Sunday, June 10.
The market, which ran successfully last summer, was modified for winter sales. But along with the sunshine, the summer session is back this weekend.
According to Woburn Agricultural Commission member Paul Medeiros, the summer market will run each Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 10 to October 21.
"We have local farmers and vendors of all types bringing their food, wine and artisan offerings to [Spence Farm]," said Medeiros.
In addition to the goods, this weekend's grand opening will also feature a petting zoo, hayrides, and musical entertainment from two Woburn Bands—Seen Better Days [10 a.m. to noon] and Carry The Team [noon to 2 p.m.].
"We encourage everyone to stop by and check out the newly installed half-mile walking path around the property and check out the work on the area where the [fruit] orchard will be placed," said Medeiros.
The Agricultural Commission has set up a website—www.woburnfarmersmarket.com—for the market. Information can also be found on Facebook at—Friends of Spence Farm.
