The Brickyard is Set to Open May 3

The Brickyard is Woburn's newest downtown bar and grill.

Downtown Woburn is getting a new pub. It's the Brickyard, a bar and grill combo that is hoping to delight Woburn residents and beyond with its burgers featuring prime grade ground beef served on brioche, authentic thin crust Italian style pizza, salads, appetizers and small plates as well as over twenty beer selections.

The Brickyard is located at 371 Main St. and will be opening Tuesday, May 3.

“We have two levels,” said Co-Owner Anthony Contarino. “The first floor has hardwood flooring, a rounded glass front and windows down the side that open onto an open plaza with a waterfall.”

The brilliant aesthetics of Brickyard's first floor are complimented by the basement level, which Contarino says has a “totally different feel. A 65-foot lounge runs along one wall with kinetic lit glass walls behind that, as well as another bar with a kinetic lit back wall, as well. We have eight TVs downstairs and six TVs upstairs, so you can watch any game that is on. Nobody in the area has that kind of atmosphere in one place.”

Contarino also detailed his restaurant experience and explains why he feels the Brickyard will be a success.

“I have been in the restaurant business since I started washing dishes when I was fourteen," he said. "I am 36-years-old now. I started and am the chef/owner of TreMonte restaurant and bar which is located at 397 Main St. (yes, its seven doors away). I am the sole owner of TreMonte and I am a partner in the Brickyard.”

If you know you'll love the Brickyard already, head over to Facebook and its page here.

Sounds good. Anyone know if they'll be doing take-out or delivery? I'm still searching for a really good thin-crust pizza.

Can I also recommend Flatbread in Bedford? It's Flatbread pizza, not traditional thin-crust, but everything there is so delicious you just can't go wrong.
