Each week Patch will highlight a smattering of the upcoming events in Woburn; Welcome to the Week Ahead.
- On Monday at the Boys and Girls Club of Woburn, from 3:30pm–4:30pm join in Grab Bag in the Gym. All ages are welcome and a new game is played each week.
- At the Sea Dog Brew Pub, on Tuesday at 6:00pm, catch Greg Chaplin Live, as part of the Sea Dog's frequent live entertainment series.
- On Wednesday at the Woburn Public Library, from 11:00am–12:00pm check out World a Whirl Express, an interactive presentation with stories, poems, songs, dancing and fun. Travel to such destinations as Mexico, France, Japan, even Australia! Study Hall (or outside, if weather permits). Ages 4+, free for all.
- On Thursday at Tanner Tavern, from 8:30pm–10:00pm, see Female Funny Forum Comedy Showcase. Comedians to perform on the show are: Headliner aka "one funny hunny" Sarah Blodgett as seen in Gotham Comedy room in New York City and throughout New England and beyond; the talented Nita Dunn an up and coming Boston funny girl; Jeanne Sullivan Toomey as seen performing all over New England; Dotty Parker as seen hosting at Maddy's on Rt 1 and Joey and Maria's comedy wedding; Colleen Coughlin who performs with Joey and Maria's wedding and seen in Good Will Hunting; and other funny females. Raffles and door prizes too!
- On Friday from 7:00pm–9:00pm at the Horn Pond Conservation Area, check out the Jandee Lee Porter Band as part of the Horn Pond Summer Concert Series. Jandee Lee Porter is a singer/songwriter born and raised in a small town in the Connecticut River Valley, Jandee Lee Porter has cultivated a love for music. Her deep country roots combined with influences from other genres such as folk, blues, rock and soul are intertwined to create an alternative sound that is none other than her own.
