UPDATE: Truck Wanted In Fatal Accident Found in Woburn

Mass State Police located truck overnight.

 

Wednesday, 1:15 p.m.—A 24-year-old Webster man was struck and killed by a tractor trailer truck around 11 p.m. Tuesday night. The driver continued driving, said Mass State Police, until he was stopped in Woburn just after midnight.

Jeremy Paige, 24, of Webster, was struck at 11:10 p.m. while walking in the westbound travel lane on the ramp from Cudworth Road to Route 395 northbound in Webster. Troop C State Police officers investigated the crash, and tracked a vehicle possibly involved in the crash to LKO Corporation. The truck was found by MSP on Route 93 in Woburn near Exit 37.

"The truck’s operator is a 44-year-old Dracut man, who was interviewed by field troopers and State Police detectives assigned to the Worcester District Attorney’s Office early this morning," said a Mass State Police spokesman. "His identity is not being released at this time"

The truck has been impounded for further investigation. Preliminary reports indicate that the truck was involved in a collision, said MSP.

Authorities have not yet determined whether criminal charges will be filed.

 

Wednesday, 8:10 a.m.—A tractor trailer truck wanted in a fatal hit-and-run accident yesterday was reportedly found in Woburn overnight.

According to several reports, the truck was found on Route 93 North in the area of Commerce Way by the Massachusetts State Police shortly after midnight this morning.

The truck was wanted out of MSP's Troop C, based out of Holden, for the hit-and-run.

The truck was towed back to the Cody's tow yard and was secured as an official crime scene by state police. The operator was taken into custody.
