UPDATE: Rollover Accident on Route 128N

Firefighters forced to use 'Jaws of Life' tool.

 

Monday, 2:10 p.m.—According to the Mass State Police, this morning's crash on Route 128 occurred when one driver "swerved to avoid debris in the road." The swerving car causing a chain reaction accident in which one car crashed into the median and rolled over, reported the MSP.

Although firefighters needed to use the 'Jaws of Life,' there were only minor reported injuries, said MSP.

WOBURN: Monday, 11:40 a.m.—The Massachusetts State Police reported that Route 128 near Washington Street in Woburn was partially closed after a motor vehicle accident.

According to the MSP statement, one car rolled over on 128 northbound around 11:30 a.m. Monday. Three cars are reportedly involved in the crash.

Two lanes of the highway are blocked at 11:35 a.m. this morning as Woburn Fire attempts to free one person trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters are using the 'Jaws of Life' AMKUS tool to extricate the party, according to reports.
