There was sunshine, warm temperatures, food and fun at Spence Farm Sunday as the city celebrated Earth Day.

The event featured a pony plop fundraiser, information on recycling, activities and crafts for children and green-living tips.

The festival was preceded by the first-ever Be Well Woburn Youth Triathlon. There were so many children who wanted to take part in the event that participants were capped off, said Mayor Scott Galvin. The mayor said he hopes next year's triathlon will be bigger.

Organizers were pleased with the turn-out, as well as the lovely spring weather at Spence Farm Sunday.
