Wilmington Man Arrested After Break-In

Commerce Way construction site was entered by two suspects in the early morning hours.

A Wilmington man is facing breaking and entering charges after an overnight break-in at a Commerce Way construction site.

At 3:10 a.m.., Isaihas Zachery McCaffrey, 22, of 77 Middlesex Ave. in Wilmington, was arrested and charged with possession of a burglarious instrument, trespassing and breaking into a depository.

According to police, the dispatch center received a report of suspicious activity at 34 Commerce Way, the Amgen construction site, in which two men dressed all in black were on the property.

When police arrived, officers pursued one man, dressed all in black, on foot and into the woods, where he was taken to the ground by officers.

McCaffrey refused to tell police who he was with, and the second suspect was not found, despite a search by Woburn, Wilmington and State Police officers.

The 22-year-old Wilmington man was assigned a $2,500 bail amount at his arraignment in Woburn District Court.

According to police, McCaffrey is known to have three aliases and is currently unemployed.

Although several items inside two storage containers on the construction site were moved around, police reported nothing was taken. Some copper wire and tools were found near the door, when police stopped McCaffrey and the other suspect.

Police confiscated two black ski masks, a pair of black gloves, an empty blue sack, bolt cutters and a police scanner tuned to the Woburn Police frequency.

Your story states Mr. McCaffrey is 22 years old and hardly a teenager. Time to grow up dude, maybe if you had a JOB you wouldn't be arrested for tresspassing and burglary.

Yes, I caught the word "teen" after I already published the story. Some 22-year-olds act like teenagers!! Thanks for the catch!

OK Miss Sawyer, how do you know this kid hasn't been actively seeking employment however, in this economy, work is just hard to come by. Shouldn't believe everything you read. Things somtimes get twisted.

Lauren, Let's assume you are correct, he is innocent, homeless and looking for work. Why don't you reach out, bail him out and take him to your house to help him "turn his life around". Let us know it works out.

He and his friend were homeless and unemployed. It's not their fault that they were dressed all in black with ski masks. Hey, it's cold out there in the summer months! And when the police came, they decided it was time to have a jog in the woods, you know, to work out. In the dark. And it was circumstantial evidence that they had "burglarious" tools. Most unemployed and homeless people carry burglarious tools in order to survive the mean streets of Woburn.
Hmmmm...sounds plausible.

My post for the Lawrence articlle:. at least this kid is a US citizen, didn't have drugs on him and probably saw the signs some residents have posted on their lawns stating " Break into my house, the mayor says it;s ok". at least he did a company and not a family, oops, article said that nothing was takin and is burglarious a word?
