Good news for students in Woburn.

Superintendent Mark Donovan sent out the Tweet they were waiting to hear. Woburn Public Schools will be closed Friday, Feb. 8, in anticipation of the snow storm that could become a blizzard.

"Because of potential safety issues associated with impending snowstorm, all Woburn Schools will be closed tomorrow, Feb 8," Donovan tweeted.

Also, according to the Woburn Memorial High School page, all sporting events have been cancelled for Friday and Saturday. Events Scheduled for Friday will be played today Thursday Feb 7th, same times and places.
