Faux Crown Molding is Cheap & Easy

Faux is real, people!

And the best part is this project costs less than forty bucks! Added bonus: On the annoying scale, I am happy to report that it rates very low. In other words, this project is the DIY equivalent of the cast of the Jersey Shore—cheap and easy.

Here's the quick rundown: (see my blog for a fully detailed description of each step)

  • Mark a border on the top edge of the wall. Tape off. Paint white.
  • Wander around Lowes until you find the right trim for the top and bottom of the white border.
  • Paint white trim for exact match (optional)
  • Nail trim up.
  • Done.

There is some cutting involved for creating an angled edge on the trim for corners, but its much easier than it sounds!

Visit my blog www.smallchangesbigimprovements.com for the full run down on this little project that makes a big difference.
