Free event showcases new foodie products from MA-based companies

Food lovers from around greater Boston will gather at TradeCenter 128 in Woburn on Wednesday, August 8 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. for Mass Innovation Nights' annual foodie event. Hosted by Cummings Properties and sponsored by Roche Bros and Hyperion Law, the popular networking event will draw the region’s culinary, restaurant, entrepreneurial, and social media communities.

The event will feature 14 of the latest local food- and beverage-related innovations. Attendees will taste roasted chickpea snacks, locally blended teas and beer, Ipswich-made wine, gluten-free baked goods, artisan preserves and tarts from a bag. In addition to checking out the newest cupcake truck to hit the streets, attendees can learn about a provider of free mobile sites for restaurants, a new restaurant reservation solution, a mobile grocery vehicle, grocery cart
attachments, an eco-friendly BBQ starter and a company that will plan meals,
shop, and deliver the ingredients to your door.

The “experts corner” will feature the co-owner of Bosco Chocolate Syrup, restaurant and events blogger Johnny Monsarrat, foodie entrepreneur David Goldstein, patent attorney Cynthia Gilbert, the corporate product development chef for Roche Bros., and a Roche Bros grocery products buyer.

Bobbie Carlton, founder of Mass Innovation Nights, said, “We are thrilled to return to Woburn and encourage people who live or work in the area to attend and support local innovation. Food-oriented startups are very exciting.”

Dennis Clarke, Cummings Properties’ president and CEO, said, “We have a long
history of working with entrepreneurs on the real estate side of our business,
and have recently become part of the culinary field with our Beacon Grille
restaurant. We are delighted to host an event that combines these two interests
in such an innovative way.”

Mass Innovation Nights events are free and open to the public but attendees are
asked to help spread the word, either through a blog post, a tweet, a Facebook “Like” or simply by telling a friend.
